Tyreel sells each year its entire draft born. Very occasionally Tyreel have to keep one or two fillies as their dams grow older. For an example English Wonder mother of Dr Grace etc gave birth to a filly in her 21st year. It was decided that probably the filly foal could be her last foal or certainly her last filly. The foal was kept and was raced as "Asia" by Danehill, winning the Group 1 South Australian Oaks. The following year English Wonder died.

From time to time Tyreel buys into new families - sometimes as a potential broodmare prospect and sometimes as a race mare.

Any race fillies that are purchased need to prove themselves on the racetrack before they can make the successful transition to join the Tyreel Broodmare band.
